Jackie W. Strickland

Jackie W. Strickland, age 83, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 23, 2018 while surrounded by his family and friends. Jack was born November 12, 1934 in Blackshear, GA to the late Wilbur and Janie Strickland and has lived in Jacksonville most of his life. He served his country in the Army and retired from the State of Florida as a government employee. He was a member of Arlington Presbyterian Church and was actively involved with the Arlington Senior Center. He is predeceased by his brothers Billy Strickland, Alan Strickland and sister-in-law Jeannette Strickland. Survivors include sister-in-law Anne Strickland; nieces: Kelli Peck (Robert), Kimberly Petty (Jamie) and Courtney Coffman; nephew Micah Strickland (Misti); great nieces: Morgan and Madison Strickland, Caitlin and Caylee Coffman; great nephews: Branndon and Ty Petty, RJ Peck, Malachi Strickland, Cody Coffman; and many other family and friends. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, March 30 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, with Rev. Micah Strickland officiating. Interment will be by cremation.
