Laura Dell Yarborough Bazen

Laura Dell Yarborough Bazen, 87, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Holmes Regional Medical Center. Laura was born in Florence County SC to the late Talmadge and Daisy Yarborough and spent a lot of her childhood working on the family farm. Laura married James Lanneau Bazen on March 12, 1948. She was a homemaker for most of her life but also worked in retail and was a greeting card merchandiser before her retirement. Laura loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an active member of Central Baptist Church in Melbourne and loved her lady's Sunday School class. Her favorite pastime was painting and listening to country music. Laura was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, her parents and sisters Faye Hutchinson, Vivian Carnell, Jackie Thomas and Judy Young. She is survived by her children Sandra Lochman, Annette Bazen (Chuck Luther), Harriet Dillhyon and Craig Bazen (Sarah). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren-Shawn Ferris (Becky), Melissa Ferris, Michael Dillhyon (Ilene), William Dillhyon (Amanda), Andrew Dillhyon (Kristi) and Jamie Bazen, 11 great grandchildren, 2 brothers-Theron Yarborough (Pert), Maxie Yarborough (Lynn), 1 sister, Juanita Evans, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 3, 2018 in The First Baptist Church of Oceanway at 11am. The family will receive friends at the church starting at 10 am.
