Alex Tyler Latak

Alex Tyler Latak, 23, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019. He was born in Jacksonville where he has lived for the past 14 years. He was a graduate of First Coast High School class of 2014, he also attended FSCJ and completed the ATC program, and made the Dean’s list. Alex is a member of the 904 Grom Squad and a ride in his honor is planned for Sunday, June 23, 2019. He enjoyed skateboarding, motorcycles, video gaming, shooting pool and shooting at the gun range. Alex was free spirited with a beautiful soul and a wildly infectious smile. He had an awesome personality and a heart of gold. Alex never met a stranger, he was loved by all.  He is preceded in death by his Grandmother, Nancy Daley, and Great Grandparents, Roy and Louise Johnson. Survivors include his parents, Eric and Jennifer Latak; Grandmother, Janice Miller; Brothers, Shane Latak and his twin brother Austin Latak, his girlfriend of 4 years, Jamie Thomas. Funeral services will be held on Friday June 21, 2019 at 12pm in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, with Pastor Terry Crigger officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
