Carol Verne Barfield

Barfield                        Carol Verne Barfield, 84, passed away on Friday December 14, 2018. He was born October 29, 1934 in Vidalia, Georgia, to the late James and Mattie Hutcheson Barfield. He was a veteran and served in the US Army, and attended Berry College and Graduated from Georgia Southern University. He is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Barfield. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Linda Barfield; children, Stephanie Enfinger (CH), Stuart Barfield (Shirley), Heather Middleton (Rocky) and Hope Strickland (Stephen); grandchildren, Rani Barfield, Tara Barfield, Justin Barfield, Rhannon Hartz, Todd Enfinger, Thomas Strickland, James Strickland, Lexi Middleton, and Rocky Middleton, Jr.; and several great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday December 28, 2018 in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville. Internment will follow with military honors at 12:30 pm in the Jacksonville National  Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers donations may be made to The Salvation Army in C Verne Barfield memory.
