Charlotte "Susie" Ann Stancil

Mrs. Charlotte "Susie" Ann Stancil, 72, went to a homecoming celebration with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, August 9, 2018. She was born in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Charles Gold and Joan (McVicker) Harrill and has lived in the Oceanway area for the past forty years. Susie worked for a number of years with Landstar Transportation and with the City of Jacksonville in the Transportation Department prior to that. She was a caring wife, mother, and grandmother who devoted her life to the care of her family and to the service of her Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Donnie Bruce Harrill, and her son, Travis Aaron Stancil.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 53 years, William Stancil; sons, Billy Stancil (Rachel) and Jason Stancil (Missi) all of Jacksonville, Florida; brother, Charles G. Harrill (Pat) of Carolina Beach, North Carolina; sister, Barbara Jean Fulp (Tommy) of Wilmington, North Carolina; grandchildren, Lesley Stancil, Keely Stancil and Laila Stancil.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Victory Celebration Church with Pastor Jim Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in Hughes Cemetery, Yulee, FL 32097.
Visitation for friends and family will be held Tuesday evening, August 14, 2018,  from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victory Celebration Church Building Fund at Victory Celebration Church, 3202 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, FL 32226.
