Gwendoline Wilson, 93 passed away Saturday, August 3 2019. She was born July 29, 1926 in Birmingham, England to the late Thomas & Florrie May Holmes. Gwen served along side her best friend Hazel in the Womens Voluntary Service during World War II. She loved serving her church and her community logging over 100,000 volunteer hours. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Gwen is predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years Alf; infant daughter Jennifer Jane and son, Daniel Paul; surrived by sons; Stephen Wilson (Sandy), Philip Wilson; daughter, Sandra Stevens (Bennie); brothers Fred Holmes and Christopher Holmes; 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren who always lovingly referred to her as Nan; and numerous other family and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 1 PM, at St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church, 1735 Leonid
Rd 32218 with Father Brian Alberti officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 PM until 8 PM, at Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Rd 32218, 714-1110. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Hospice of N.E. FL.
