Harry Summerville Obituary

Harry Sinclair Summerville, 94, passed away on Thursday February 14, 2019. He was born in 1924 to the late Clifton and Jeanette Summerville. He has lived in Jacksonville most of his life. He was a veteran and retired US Marine. He Served in China, and fought in WWII and Korea. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and football and attending the Marine Corps reunions. He was Mason and member of Triangle lodge #708, F. & A.M. He is preceded by his wife, Claudia Mae Summerville, step daughter, Yvonne C Fralick Brinkley, step son Wayne W. Fralick and daughter in law, Marie Summerville. Survivors include his sons Larry Summerville (Darlene), and Roy Summerville; daughter, JoAnn Mullins; 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 21, 2019 at 11:30 am in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, with Rev. Jimmy Durham officiating. Interment will be held in Jacksonville National Cemetery with full military honors at 1:30 pm following the funeral service. The family will receive friends starting at 10:30 am on Thursday at the funeral home.
