John Faircloth Obituary


John Raymond Faircloth, 66, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. He was born in Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, to the late John and Alice Faircloth. John was a veteran and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He attended Andrew Jackson High School and was Baptist by faith. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be dearly missed by all. He is preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Faircloth and sister, Linda Gumke. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Brenda Faircloth; son, John Clifton “JC” Faircloth (Gloria); daughter, Reba Faircloth; brother Jerry Faircloth (Pat); sisters, Pamela Brown (John) and Mickey Smallwood (Bill); grandchildren, Keegan Faircloth, and Aamira Faircloth; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 6, 2018 at 11am in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, with Rev. Wayne Rees officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1pm. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, November 5, 2018 from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
