Taylor - John Alan, age 69, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, December 26, 2019.
He was the son of the late Jake and Iris Taylor. He served in the United States Army, retired from Southeast Toyota after 30 years as a Master Installer, he was also the owner operator of J&S Trucking. John loved riding his Harley and he was always there for anyone that had a need.
John was predeceased by his parents, Jake and Iris Taylor and his late wife Sharon.
John is survived by his wife Chris, daughter Kim(Jeff) Mann, Jacksonville, Fl., Step-daughter Ashley (Daniel) Phillips, Hamilton, Al., Step-son Christopher (Christine) Singletary, Jacksonville, Fl., Grandchildren Macy, Madison, Gage, Hailey, Trevor and John" Maverick", siblings Jim (Susan),Taylor of Jacksonville, Cody (Sharron),Taylor of Hilliard, Fl., Iris (Daryl) Day of Yulee, FL., Leslie Taylor of Jacksonville, FL., Beverly Taylor of Ocala, Fl., Nina (John) Redman of Bryceville, Fl., and Anthony (Herida) Taylor of Covington, Ga. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday January 6, 2020 at 11;30 am in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, with Rev. Duke Graham officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, FL. The visitation will be held on Friday evening January 3, 2020 from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Jacksonville National Cemetery, or The Disable Veterans Of America.
