Kitty Elizabeth Jones

Kitty Elizabeth Jones, age 86 of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully, Sunday, December 9, 2018.  Kitty was born in War, West Virginia to Willie Luther Lee Brock and Vivian Staten Brock.  Kitty grew up there with her two sisters, Opal and Jean.  Kitty later settled in the Oceanway area of Jacksonville, in 1969 where she raised her five children.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Opal Brock Holland, a grandson Mark Havener and step-grandson, Casey Earl Lewis.

Kitty is survived by her sister Jean Harris Lowe and (5) children, Thomas Earl Evans, John Holley Evans, Deborah Lee Padgett (Darryl), Sonia Louise Cothran and Tina Monique Brown (Lacy) along with her niece Kathy Ann Holland, who was like a daughter to her.   Kitty is survived by several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and many beloved family members and friends. 

The family would like to thank the Staff at the Macclenny Nursing Home for the wonderful care they gave to our mother.  She made several friends there. 

A memorial service will be held for Kitty on Friday, December 21st, at 6:00 p.m., at Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
