Laura Coats Obituary

Coats Laura Lee Coats, 62, passed away on Friday March 15, 2019. She was born in Jacksonville, FL., in 1956 to the late Willie and Joan (Murphy) Hollis. She attended Andrew Jackson High School. She was a loving wife, mother, Grandmother, friend, and will be dearly missed by all. She is preceded in death by her brother Willie Buddy Hollis. Survivors include her husband of 43 years, John H. Coats; son, Brian Coats (Niki); daughter, Kelly Ann Coats; sisters, Elaine Craycraft, Karen Rhoden (Donnie), Kathy Williams, and Paula Coats (Tom); grandchildren, Scott, Johnathan, Alexus, and Donovan Coats, and Kaylee Willard. Great grandchildren, Alex and Draven Coats; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday March 18, 2019 at 1pm in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, with Pastor Buddy Wimberley officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Jacksonville, FL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday starting at 12pm.
