Marina Rene Bertka

An angel took flight from this earth to go home for eternity to be with our heavenly Father. Although this world was only a temporary stop, her impact in our lives will remain forever. Our human side wants our little “Sweet Pea” back to enjoy her dancing and her smiling face to make us whole again, but her job was done here on earth, and we are ok knowing she’s dancing for Jesus now. James 1:17. Every good gift and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. She is preceded in death by her Poppy, Seth Masar. Survivors include  her parents, Ronnie and Heidi; siblings, Ronnie Jr., Cadence and Maddison; grandparents, Karyl Masar, Beverly and James Bertka; aunts, and uncles; Chris and Toni Masar, Karl Bertka and Becky Ford, Kevin Bertka and Shannon Culp, Brandi Bertka, Alan and Hope Reyes, and Alzane Reyes, and 20 cousins. Memorial services to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, August 10, 2019, at 1 pm in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road Jacksonville, with the family officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, starting at 12noon at the funeral home.
