Obituary

Padgett                                               Mary Margaret Padgett, 91, passed away on Monday September 30, 2019. She was born in Lake City Florida to the late Daniel and Pincie (Williams) Avery. Mary has lived most of her life in Jacksonville and was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School. She was a charter member of San Mateo Baptist Church, she was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend and will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years Charles Webster Padgett, brother, Bill Avery and sister, Jean Andrews. Survivors include her sons, Larry Padgett (Sherry), and Richard Padgett (Wendy); daughter, Charlotte May (Bob); grandchildren, Angela Shepard (Steve), Wesley Padgett, (Amy), Lyle Padgett (Amelia), Jessica Warner, and Katie Warner; great grandchildren, Katilyn, Kristen, Caleb, and Chelsea; great great grandchild Henry Baylea. And a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 3, at 11am in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, with Pastor Larry McGinley officiating. Interment will follow in Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home starting at 10am.
