Maurice Guy Bowling

Maurice Guy Bowling, 79, of Jacksonville, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018 at the Mayo Clinic, after an extended illness. Maurice was born in Booneville, Kentucky, the son of Hobart and Ida (Harvey) Bowling and had lived in Jacksonville for the past 66 years. He was a passionate Florida Gator fan and deeply enjoyed being outdoors, observing the animals and finding peace in nature.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Jimmy, sisters, Juanita and Mary, and his son, Maurice G. Bowling Jr. Survivors include his devoted wife of 4 years, Kathleen Bowling; brother, Arthur Bowling; grandchildren, Kenneth, Justin, Garrett, and Cheyenne.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time (9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.) at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
