Orville Fulton Chewning III, 67, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 at the Morris Center for Caring after an extended illness. Orville was a lifetime resident of Jacksonville and was the son of the late Orville Fulton Jr. and Marie (Smith) Chewning. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great grandfather who devoted his time to the care of his family. Mr. Chewning served his country faithfully with the United States Army.
Survivors include his loving wife of 22 years, Judy; his son, Michael Dillard; daughter, Kristi Hughes; brothers, James, Alvin, and Marvin Chewning; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and a host of friends that will miss him.
Funeral services with military honors will be conducted at 10:30 am, on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, Florida. 32218. with Reverend Larry McGinley officiating.
