Sandra Kay Presley, beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away on 30 June 2019, at the age of 54 from metastatic lung cancer, in Jacksonville, Florida. Sandra was born in Wurzburg, Germany on 28 December 1964 to Alvin Austin Presley and Annemarie Knecht.
Sandy was the daughter of an Army father and traveled to many countries and states. She settled in Basin, Wyoming after her father retired where she graduated from Basin High School. She then joined the U.S. Navy for a little over four years. She moved to Bremerton, Washington, once getting out of the Navy, and worked as a drug and alcohol counselor, until moving to Jacksonville, Florida in 2010.
Her greatest loves were her Pomeranian, Joey, and her family. She was a very loving and giving person, always helping anyone in need. She had an infectious smile, causing others around her to smile. She also loved the Seattle Seahawks and enjoyed playing fantasy football in the family league.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Annemarie and Warren Ross; her brother and sister and their spouses, Robert and Szilvia Presley, and Deborah and Jimmy Nelson; her nephews and niece; Joshua, Jerikho, and Niki Presley, and Kyle and Kobie Nelson. She is also survived by her stepmother, Miki Presley; and her stepsisters and stepbrother, Kerri Basten, Kim Davis, Kristen Cheyne, and Michael Judd. She is predeceased by her father, Alvin Austin Presley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 am on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors. Visitation with the family will be held from 10:30 am until service time at the funeral home.
