Dubberly, Sr. Thurman Clay Dubberly, Sr., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday July 7, 2019. He was born in Blackshear, GA, to the late Mellville and Willie (Watson) Dubberly, and has lived in Jacksonville since 1952. He was a veteran and served in the US Marines, a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter # 1, and a longtime member of Duval Station Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be dearly missed by all. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Barfield, granddaughter, Nikole Garza, sisters, Colleen Howell, Lacinda Lucas, brother, Vernon Dubberly. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Pat; Son, Thurman Clay Dubberly, Jr.( Vanessa); daughters, Violet Dubberly-Byrd( Wayne), Kimberly Chandler (Michael,) and Thurmette Teague (Roger) brothers, Bobby Jack Dubberly ,(Fran), and Macks Dubberly( Betty) ,15 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday July 15 at 11am in the Duval Station Baptist church with Pastor Jimmy Flanagan officiating, assisted by Rev. Ken Barney. Interment with military honors will follow in Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1:30 pm. The family will receive friends starting at 10am on Monday in the church with arrangements being made by Cedar Bay Funeral Home Jacksonville. 714-1110
