Alice Rockliffe Obituary

Alice Lucinda Rockliffe was a loving wife, nurturing mother and grandmother, fun and
supportive sister, and trusted friend. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of
Alice Lucinda Rockliffe on October 20th, 2023.
Alice was born July 10th, 1948 in Belle Glade, Florida. The daughter of Frank and Jennie
Robertson, Alice was the youngest of seven children; Claude, Van, Mackey, Jimmy, Dot, and
Agnus. There are too many memories to count for all the fellowship, laughter, and tears this
family gathered for; and Alice could tell you about all of them.
Alice married Paul Rockliffe in 1970, and they went on to have two beautiful children
Rebecca and Timothy. Paul and Alice shared 53 years of a strong and loving marriage. Alice
was a pillar in both church communities where she worked and attended.
Red cardinals represent the Holy Spirit, the eternal life giving of Jesus, and his ministry. Alice’s
favorite bird was a red cardinal; which mirrors her relationship with Jesus Christ. “And after you
have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in
Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” Peter 5:10
Alice would truthfully tell you she felt peachy and blessed every day. As a huge Florida Gators
and Alabama fan, she would never miss a chance to cheer them on. She enjoyed traveling with
her husband, seeing her grandchildren, reading, and spending time with her family as often as
possible.
Alice is survived by her husband, Paul Rockliffe; daughter and son-in-law Rebecca and Jake
Brady; son and daughter-in-law Tim and Amanda Rockliffe; two grandsons Liam Asher
Rockliffe and Roman Archer Rockliffe; brother Claude Robertson; and many beloved nieces and
nephews.
