Andrzej Jaworski

Andrzej Jaworski, 75, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at his home. He was
born in Sobotka, Poland in 1948 to the late Piotr and Katarzyna (Szwajca) Jaworski. For much
of his life, he lived in Chicago, Illinois, and Jacksonville, Florida where he worked as a self-
employed construction contractor. He was married to his late wife, Maria Jaworski, for 34 years.
He lived an energetic life with a love of sports and fitness. He enjoyed woodworking, antiques,
and long nights playing poker with family and friends. He was a loving father, brother,
grandfather, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his Sisters, Zofia and Wieslawa. Survivors include his brother, Stanley
Jaworski; his children, Peter, Edith, and Jarek (Gosia) Jaworski, Katarzyna Dryja, and adopted
daughter Marzena (Gus) Valkanas; grandchildren, Maya, Olivia, Pawel, Lukasz, Daniel, Klaudia,
Vasiliki, Andrea, Nickolas, and Alexander; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was much loved and will be deeply missed.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 3 pm in the chapel of Cedar
Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville. The family will receive friends starting
at 2 pm.
