Irizarry – Angelo Irizarry, age 83, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on July 9, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories with those who knew and loved him. Born on March 9, 1943, to the late Angel and Mary Irizarry in Orange, New Jersey. Angelo was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He shared a joyous marriage of almost 6 decades to the love of his life, Dalila. He was a proud father to two children and a devoted grandfather to two grandchildren; they all brought him endless pride and joy. In his spare time Angelo enjoyed watching football, spending an evening with a good movie, challenging others to a game of chess, bowling, and going to the dog track. A man of deep and unwavering faith, he was a devoted Catholic whose relationship with God was the foundation of his life. Angelo was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church - Riverside. Prayer was a central part of his daily life and devoted 5-6 hours each day for prayer and reflection. Though Angelo will be deeply missed, his legacy will continue to live on through everyone who loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Angel and Mary Irizarry.
Angelo leaves behind his wife, Dalila; children, Teresa (Brooks) Miller and Angelo Irizarry, Jr. (Katie Klein); and grandchildren, Zoie McMillan and Mia Irizarry.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Roxie Mae Cemetery, 93 Roxy Mae Church Road, Nicholls, Georgia 31554. Arrangements are under the care and direction of CEDAR BAY FUNERAL HOME, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, Florida, 32218. (904) 714-1110.
