Ann E. Sikes, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. Ann was the daughter of the late Ernest E. and Jean E. (Brenizer) Nelson. Ann was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville and a graduate of Wolfson High School. She worked as an administrative assistant at King Provision and TL Canon while dedicating herself to her church as a Sunday school teacher for nearly 25 years. Ann was the definition of selflessness, devotion and generosity. Preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, David, her survivors include her sons, Charles Sikes (Kassandra) of Richmond Hill, GA; and Richard Sikes (Elizabeth) of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Catherine Kiick (Matthew) Port St. Lucie, FL; brothers, Charlie Nelson (Gail), David Nelson, John Nelson, Aaron Nelson (Rhoda), Jamie Nelson (Linda) and Joe Nelson (Carol); sisters, Lisa Reading (Carl) and Lela Floyd (Jack); step-siblings, Sylvia DAngelo, Ronald Nelson (Susan), Larry Nelson (Joan), Winifred Tanger, June Brandt (Richard); grandchildren, Adalynn Sikes, Lillian Sikes, Colton & Cooper Kiick and Samuel Sikes. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Eastpointe Church with Pastor Fitu Tafaoa officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
