Celebration of Remembrance
Barbara Marcum Jennings, 74, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, October 20, 2021. She was born May 30, 1947, in Jacksonville, Florida.
The daughter of Edward Marcum and Helen (Kitler) Marcum.
She graduated from Andrew Jackson High School, Class of 1965.
She was the owner of Raz’s Corner Store.
She loved traveling, a little gambling, shopping and especially loved spending time with her family and friends. Anyone that knew her knew she had a heart of gold. She loved giving and she always thought of others. She was an avid collector of "ANY & EVERYTHING”, and she has an extensive collection of "ANY & EVERYTHING". She was especially known for making the best Banana Pudding and Shepherd's Pie you have ever tasted. She loved making her famous Banana Pudding for her family and friends. It brought her so much joy to know how much her cooking was loved.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved Son, Julius Edward Stewart; Brothers; William Homer Marcum and Paul Eugene Marcum.
The family would like to acknowledge and honor the deep love and care she had for: Robert Morgan, Bettyjo Pope, Marilyn Adams and her girls, Carl Wayne Morris, Tyler Morris, Shelley Harris, Louis and Dana Ramos, David Parker, The Hess Family and Evelyn Fowler.
She is survived by
Daughter, Merinda “Mindy” Stewart;
Son, Joseph “Kevin” Marcum (Marsha);
Grandchildren: Courtney Hess (Robert), Nick Freeman (Priscilla Carter),
Koty Stewart(Amber), Chance Stewart(Jamma Green); Kassy Stewart;
Gage Wilson; Ashley Wilson; Elizabeth Davis; William Marcum;
19 precious great grand-children and a host of other relatives and friends.
She will be deeply, deeply missed by all.
A celebration of remembrance will be held 7:00pm Friday, October 29, 2021, at Lannie Road Baptist Church, 5998 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218, with Pastor Richard Wimberly, Jr. officiating.
**The family will receive friends and extended family at the church starting at 6:00pm.**
