Barbara Ann Whitecage

Whitecage – Barbara Ann Whitecage, age 96, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on September 4, 2026. Barbara was born on July 26, 1930, in Torrington, Connecticut, to Vernon and Elizabeth. She later dedicated her working years to being a teacher’s aide, perfectly suited for her caring and loving nature. Barbara was a loving wife who shared more than 50 years of marriage with her late husband, Vincent Whitecage, Jr. Together they shared love, companionship and countless memories. The simple pleasures in life are something Barbara truly enjoyed. Spending her time gardening, watching her favorite game show and playing solitaire were some of her favorites. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent; son-in-law, Timothy; parents, Vernon and Elizabeth Noad; and siblings, Vernon, Jr., Betty and Phyllis.

Barbara leaves behind her children, William Whitecage and Wendy Waters; grandchildren, Timothy Ryan Waters and Joshua Kyle Waters; and siblings, William and Janet. She will be deeply missed by the many lives she touched in her 96 years.

A Celebration of Barbara’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Cedar Bay Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218, where she will be laid to rest by her beloved husband, Vincent. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
