Barbara Jean (Haddock) Wood

Barbara Jean Wood, age 71, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020. Barbara was born in Charleston, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Wesley C. and Essie Lee [Warren] Haddock and lived in the Jacksonville area for over 40 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed fishing, driving her car and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Wood loved to praise her Lord and Savior, and loved to attend Bold City Church to worship. Her family and church family will deeply miss her beautiful smile and her friendship. She was preceded in death by her parents, her three brothers, Charles, James, & Laverne Haddock and her beloved husband Paul Wood (2018).

Survivors include daughter, Angela Mercado of Woodbine, GA; her son, and her 6 grandchildren, Mya, Victoria, Grace, Matt, Colton, and Cody; sister in law, Linda Haddock of TN.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm, on Monday, February 10, 2020, in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home.
