Bennie/Dad, we never thought or wanted this day to happen so soon. 77 years of your love, humor and compassion will never be forgotten. Your transition was peaceful as you slipped into eternal sleep, loved ones by your side as you took that final breath. Your pain was gone as soon as you transitioned and were greeted with open arms by our passed Loved ones in Heaven. The limitations that burdened you are no more. You will always be the most loving, kind and generous Husband, Father, Grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. A Man that is irreplaceable. As a Family, we will share your memory and legacy with all those who will listen. The dedication and sacrifice to your Family and friends is unmatched and never wavered. Always a Man of your word, disciplined with a strong hand and loving heart and the faithful Gator Fan. You are missed and loved by so many Family and Friends. Husband and true love, soulmate to Sandra of 54 years, Father to Sonya (Scott McGouey) and Scott (Leah). Your Grandsons Zachary (Bri), Logan, Connor and Hayden will continue your legacy of hard-working, responsible, compassionate young Men. Celeste Stevens, mother of Zachary and Connor. Pre-deceased by your father George and mother Helen Stevens, with surviving brothers Michael (Jimmie) Stevens and Larry Stevens and sisters Kay Bragg and Karen (Billy) Jones. Surviving brother in-laws Steve (Sandy) Wilson, Philip Wilson, pre-deceased Daniel Wilson and father/mother in laws Alfred and Gwen Wilson. Many nieces and nephews along with bonus family members throughout the many years, you always made everyone feel like Family.
