Betty Jean Cox

COX - Graveside services for Betty Jean Cox (83) of Bryceville, FL were held at 11 am on Saturday May 2, 2020 at Brandy Branch Cemetery. Betty was born on October 12, 1936 in Cook County, GA, daughter of the former Martha Marie Albritton and the late John Harvey Beverly. She passed away on Thursday April 30, 2020 under hospice care, following a lengthy illness. Betty was married on December 10, 1955 to the late Tommy Cox in Paris Island, S.C. In addition to be a published poet, her hobbies included: painting with oil and water colors, writing poetry, playing the organ and gardening with a special love for her orchids. She is survived by: (4) daughters, Devena Jean Lee, Gail C. Prestwood, Christina Roberts and Theresa Deal; (12) grandchildren; numerous extended family and friends. The family appreciates all the prayers and support during this difficult time. Due to the recent pandemic, the number of attendees was limited to the immediate family.
