Betty Hill Walker

Walker - Betty Hill Walker, age 84, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 13, 2026. Betty Faye Hill was born on March 29, 1942, to Charles and Margaret Hill in Palatka, Florida. She was raised in Florahome along with three siblings. In 1952, the family moved to Jacksonville, where three more siblings were born. She married Elbert Senterfitt in 1958 and had four children: Dwain, Angie, Marty, and Michael. Betty was a very independent woman with a strong work ethic. She retired from Mac Paper Company. Outside of work, she loved reading, gardening, and making all sorts of things. Betty learned how to sandblast and made art pieces. She crocheted, sewed, and did needlepoint. Betty could make anything with a little lavender, including heating pads, ice cream, and cookies. She even raised butterflies. Above all of this, Betty loved and was so proud of her children. Betty was preceded in death by her daughter, Angie Senterfitt; parents, Charles and Margaret Hill; and siblings, Frances Hill, Bob Hill, and Jeannie Hill.

Betty is survived by her children, Dwain Senterfitt (Libby), Michael Senterfitt (Heather), and Marty Senterfitt; grandchildren, Amanda, Falyn, Brandon, Abby, Justin, and Aaron; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Ernie Hill, Debbie Weinberg (Mike), and Shari Badal; as well as nephews, nieces, and friends.

A Memorial Service for Betty will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Bay Funeral Home with Pastor Kyle Reese officiating.
