Cooper Bonnie Beatrice Cooper, 87, passed away on Thursday January 14, 2021. She was born August 24, 1933 in Shooks Gap near Knoxville, TN, to the late James and Rhoda (McClure) Dodgen, and has lived in Jacksonville since 1967.
Bonnie was an avid gardener, and antiques collector. She enjoyed cooking for family and baking, listening to Neil Diamond and sharks tooth hunting. Her favorite time of year was Christmas and decorating for it.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Joni Patricia, and granddaughter, Ashley. Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Roy Cooper; daughters, Kathy Bella, Anna Kwaak, Liz Spears (Bobby), and step daughters, Kelly Summerville (Roy), Keri Knott ( Robby); brother; Charles H. Dodgen (Mona); grandchildren, Kyle Green (Megan), Katrina Morrison (Jeffrey), Candice Lockard (Jonathan), Reba Acosta, Michael D Blackburn, Marshall Blackburn, Rebecca Knott, Marcel Knott (Maddie), and Justen Knott; 13 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11am on Monday January 18, 2021, in Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 North Main Street, Jacksonville, FL., with Rev. Chris Hall officiating.
