Bonnie Jean Wisenburg, 60, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020. She was born in Jacksonville to Lewis and Sadie (Pelot) Wisenburg and has lived here all of her life. She graduated from Andrew Jackson High School class of 1978, she was the World Shortstop Champion of 1983, and was the first one of two women hired on the Jacksonville Fire Department. She was a loving wife, mom, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many.
She is preceded in death by her father Lewis Wisenburg, Sr. and 2 loving aunts, Betty Cerise (Jean)and Joyce Clements. Survivors include her wife Katrina Jones; mother, Sadie Wisenburg; son, Daniel Jones- Wisenburg; brother, Lewis Wisenburg, Jr. (Lee); sister, Joyce (Wisenburg) Marshall (Craig); nieces, Erin McDowell (Ryan), and Shannon Gill (Derick); nephews, Casey Wisenburg, and Corey Wisenburg; 5 great nieces, Allie, Emmie, Maggie McDowell, and Penelope and Daphne Gill that she loved dearly and a host of other relatives and friends. She will be loved and missed by all.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 2 pm in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville. The family will receive friends on Saturday starting at 1 pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Pet Rescue North or Bartram Animal Rescue Coalition. If you prefer you may bring a donation of any type of food or other pet needs to the funeral home on Saturday, August 29, 2020
