Bruce Allen Peer

Bruce Allen Peer, 78 died on February 9, 2022 in Jacksonville, FL, Born in Pensacola, Florida, to Allen and Mildred Peer He is survived by daughter Kristi McKenzie and Robert of Jacksonville, FL, daughter, Kari Wynn and Kyle, and son, Billy Wood of TX. Sister Beverly Peer Rhodes and Wayne of Pensacola, FL, brother Larry Gehbauer and Carol of Jacksonville, FL. Proud Grandfather of Tyler McKenzie, Luke Wynn, and Adeline Wynn. He is also survived by his loving partner of 25 years, Gloria Gentry, and her family, further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Loved by many, family and friends will fondly remember him as a proud First Responder, a tender-hearted man with an infectious laugh, witty intellect, and always optimistic. He loved to learn and was an avid reader of western books, particularly Louis L ’Amour, a proud patriot and Air Force veteran. Everyone who remembers him is asked to celebrate Bruce in their own way. Please donate to the Wounded Warriors Project in his honor in lieu of flowers. Family and friends will gather for a Memorial service at Dunn’s Creek Baptist Church, 1425 Starratt Rd, Jacksonville at 11:00 am, Monday, February 28, followed by a graveside service at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
