Carl Ralph Edge, 82, passed away peacefully at home with his family on Tuesday morning, January 21, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida.
Carl was born on January 13, 1943, in Cullman, Alabama to William Ralph Edge and Vivian Howard Edge. He served two terms in the Marine Corps, where he received a Good Conduct Medal; the Vietnam Service Medal 2 stars; the National Defense Service Medal; the Purple Heart Medal; and the Presidential Unit Citation before he recited an Honorably Discharged.
He met his soulmate Julie and together they raised two beautiful children. He gave everything he had to his family and always talked about how God has blessed his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ralph Edge and Vivian Howard Edge, and his sister, Enetta Janelle ‘Jan’ Doyle.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Annette Blackmon Edge; daughters, Tiffany Lee Belcher and Kimberly Eve Edge; grandsons, James William Adkins and Lee Nathaniel Adkins; and granddaughter, Eva Grace Edge.
A Celebration of Carl's Life will be held on Thursday, February 13th, 2025 at 12:30 pm In the Chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road Jacksonville FL, 32218
The Family will receive friends starting at 12 pm at the Funeral Home
The committal service will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:30 pm Lane # 2
