Carolyn Wallace Avera

Carolyn Wallace Avera, 85, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023. She was born in 1938 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Wallace and Roberta (Hutchinson) Shirley and has lived in Jacksonville all her life. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Carolyn was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend and will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband Harry Clinton Avera, children, Cindy, Craig, and Clarice, brothers, Jo, and Billy Wallace, and sisters Janice, Peggy, and Nancy. Survivors include her son, Clinton Avera, and (Donna) grandchildren Gary, Maleana, Donny, Brandon, and Hannah. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 1, at 11 am in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, with Pastor Bill Forde officiating. Interment will follow in Restlawn Cemetery Jacksonville. The family will receive friends on Friday morning starting at 10 am at the funeral home.
