Obituary

Carolyn “Sue” (Blankenship) Trull was born March 24th, 1949 in Logan, West Virginia. She was a long-time resident of Jacksonville, Florida. She was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a career employee of Winn Dixie in Oceanway, retiring in 2013. She left this world on February 5th, 2023 at the age of 73 holding the hand of her husband. The world lost an amazing soul but she has her wings and now she flies.

 She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Joel Lester Trull Jr.; her children, James (Becky) Trull, Joel (Rosanna) Trull, Melinda Oglesby & Lisa (Richard) Whittington; grandchildren, Amanda (Trull) Howard, Stephanie Trull, Zachary Riggins, Chelsea Rowe, and Ronald Whittington; great-grandchildren, Corey Howard, Colton Howard, Parker Rowe & Zachary Rowe, and many more family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy & Cebert Blankenship. 

 Carolyn “Sue” was such a beautiful, selfless & fierce woman. She loved spending time with her family and cooking for them. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan. She loved going to the beach with her husband, as it brought her comfort and peace. She loved music and dancing. She will be missed dearly by everyone that knew and loved her.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at 11 am at Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Rd., Jacksonville, Florida, with Pastor Josh Serre officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

 The family would like to thank The Morris Center Community Hospice for taking such great care of her in her last days/hours.
