Carolyn Miller Hinds

Hinds                              Carolyn Miller Hinds, “Spunky”, 73, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday October 3, 2020. She was born in Raeford, North Carolina to the late William and Grace (Pate) Miller. She was a member of the first Baptist Church of Oceanway. She loved fishing and playing the piano. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend and will be dearly missed by all. She is preceded in death by her brothers James Odell Miller and William R. Miller. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Joseph Hinds, Jr.; daughters, Carol Nettles (Frank), and Elaine Hendricks; sisters, Flora Mae Scarboro, and Louise Creech; grandchildren, Joseph Nettles (Lindsey), Justin Hendricks, and Amber Hendricks, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 7, 2020 at 10am in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, with Rev. Micah Strickland and Rev. Steve McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in Ferreira Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 5pm until 7pm.
