Carolyn M Wellhausen

Wellhausen - Carolyn Mosley Norman Wellhausen, age 82, of Maxville, Florida, passed away at Haven Hospice in Orange Park, Florida on October 28, 2025, after an extended illness surrounded by family and friends. She was born on September 29, 1943, to Annie Mae Mosley Norman in Clay County, Florida.  Carolyn was a devoted mother and grandmother to 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She married the love of her life Lacy E. “Buck” Wellhausen on March 3, 1962.  Together they shared 63 wonderful years of marriage, cherishing and supporting each other. More than anything, they enjoyed the time they shared with their family.  No matter how bad she felt, Grandma could always come up with the strength to enjoy and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carolyn is preceded in death by her mother, Annie Mae Mosley Norman; father, Forest “Doc” Norman; aunt, Easter Mann; brothers, Ray Norman and Ricky Manning; and her daughter-in-law, Eileen Wellhausen.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Lacy “Buck” Wellhausen; two sons, Steve (Genia) Wellhausen and W. Kevin (Terrie) Wellhausen; along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other family and friends.

A Celebration of Carolyn’s Life will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Maxville, where she was also a member, 8635 Maxville Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32234 with Pastor Richard Fish officiating. Interment will follow at Long Branch Cemetery, 5500 Long Branch Cemetery Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32234. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
