Toalston – Charles “Chuck” Saunders Toalston, age 57, was born on October 4, 1968, to William Toalston and Rosemarie Cain Toalston. He passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Chuck was a long-time employee of North Florida Sales showing everyone who ever worked with him to do it HIS WAY! He worked in every department you can think of, from special events, merchandising, sales and mechanic, just to name a few. Chuck also worked hard at being a devoted brother, husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family dearly and was very proud of each one of them. Whether meeting someone for the first time or the hundredth, Chuck never met a stranger – everyone who crossed his path was greeted with warmth, kindness, and a ready smile. He absolutely loved life and being outdoors. Chuckles fought hard and was taken too soon. He will be deeply missed but we know he is forever in the arms of an Angel. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rosemarie Toalston; and brother, Steve Toalston.
Chuck is survived by his faithful wife of 33 years, Annette Toalston; children, John (Angie) Sherer, Liz (Tommy) Shumate, Fred Afentul and Josh Toalston; brother, Tom Toalston; sisters, Barb (George) Zwick, Bonnie (Ray) Mascotti; grandchildren, Ariel, Allison, William, Noah, Robert and Sabrina; fifteen nephews and nieces; and special friends, Rob Bates, Jen Upshaw, James Williams, AJ Williams and Michelle Anderson.
The tribute above was prepared by Chuck’s loving family.
A Celebration of Chuck’s life will be held on November 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Cedar Bay Funeral Home, with Pastor Cornelius Davis officiating.
