Chester Wayne Tison

Chester Wayne Tison, 67, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Wayne was a lifelong native of Jacksonville and the son of the late James and Bonnie (Avis) Tison. He was a loving father and grandfather who devoted his time to his family and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his two daughters, Amanda Alton (Ryan) of St. Augustine, FL & Courtney Zoeller (Charles) of Callahan, FL; brother, James Tison (Louise) of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Sandra Murwin (Roy) of Jacksonville, FL and Deborah Thrift (George) of Kingsland, GA;

4 grandchildren, Sophie, Lila, Samuel, and Lucy;

as well as several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Memorial services for Mr. Tison will be held at 6:00 pm, on Friday, January 4, 2018 in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home.

 Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to service time (5:00 pm until 6:00 pm) at the funeral home.
