Claudio Donald Gucciardi, age 67, of Jacksonville, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021, after an extended illness. He was born in Rome, Italy, to Pasqualina Gucciardi. Claudio moved to America and became a United States citizen. He joined the United States Navy and served this nation faithfully for 25 years until his retirement as a Senior Chief. Claudio was a kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed woodworking, his motorcycle, and cooking authentic Italian dishes. His greatest joy was his family though, especially spoiling his grandkids.
Claudio was preceded in death by his mother, Pasqualina, and sister, Laura Gucciardi.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 14 years, Marsha Gucciardi of Jacksonville; stepson, Michael Johnson (Tiffany) of Jacksonville; daughter, Jamie Mastro of Tampa; sister, Ann Ambesi (Deena Jackson) of Zellwood; grandchildren, Makayla, Michael, and Harley; as well as his godson, Chase Royal.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, with Pastor Danny Baggett officiating at Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors.
