Clifford Dean Younger, Sr.

Clifford Dean Younger, Sr., 76, passed away on February 10, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born September 2, 1947, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Margaret Eileen Lowe and Dean Franklin Younger.

Cliff spent 23 years in the United States Navy, retiring in December 1988 in Jacksonville, FL. He then worked for the United States Postal Service for 26 years until retiring in 2016. He spent his retirement enjoying tending to his fish and other pets, cataloging, and collecting coins, and growing his book collection.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Helenita, his five children (Christopher, Colin, Clifford Jr., Crystal, and Cheryl), and six grandchildren (Ashley, Gwendolyn, Rivington, Nathan, Zachary, and Oliver). As well as his brother (Kipton).

Clifford’s viewing will be held at Cedar Bay Funeral home located at 405 New Berlin Rd from 5-7 pm on February 19, 2024. The funeral service with Pastor Kipton Younger officiating will be held on February 20, 2024, in the same location at 12 pm. A military graveside ceremony will follow at the Jacksonville National Cemetery located at 4083 Lannie Rd at 2 pm.
