Dalton Ray Hatuey Maceda, 21, was called home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on December 19, 2022. An exemplary young man, taken far too soon and unexpectedly, Dalton was born on February 26, 2001, in Jacksonville, Florida, the son of Tanya Busby Maceda. Dalton was lovingly guided through life by his "pretty sis" Scyleesa, as well as his mother, many other family members as well as his countless co-workers and close friends. Dalton attended First Coast High School where he excelled as a member of the JROTC program. Dalton had a strong passion for discipline and knowledge. Dalton’s enthusiasm for automobiles coupled with his mechanical aptitude led him to a career as a mechanic at Big Chief
Tire. Dalton was a Christian man of great honor and trustworthiness with a profound respect and love for all living things. He had a free loving spirit and could brighten any room with a joke, even when it made absolutely no sense. Dalton enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, lovingly referred
to as la Familia. Dalton enjoyed anything in good company and would make anything fun. Some of his favorite things to do were fishing, hanging out at the beach (eating boiled peanuts), playing video games, learning honestly anything at all, eating ice cream, playing with his cat Tessa, and working on
his vehicles. He enjoyed taking care of people and knowing they were safe. Dalton, who will be sorely missed, was part of a large loving family and is survived by his mother, Tanya Busby Maceda and sisters; Scyleesa Roch of Jacksonville (Dillon, Nataleigh, Aralynn, Parker, Levi, and Lillian), and Lauren Spaulding- Tecson (Wilter) of San Francisco, California (Warren and Kylo). He also leaves behind a large extended family and many friends who loved him dearly, especially his life-long friend Austin.
Services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Cedar Bay Funeral Home located at 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218 and will consist of visitation at 6pm, immediately followed by a Service of Remembrance with Pastor Al Force officiating at 7pm.
