In Loving Memory David Hodge
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of David Hodge on May 31, 2024 at the
age of 69. Born on February 23, 1955 in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. David's gentle spirit
have left him an inedible mark on the ones that had the privilege of knowing him.
David leaves behind his devoted daughter; Michelle Harrell, cherished grandsons, Justin
Gwaltney, Alex Gwaltney (Autumn Chasen) and Jace McKinney, and his treasured great
grandchildren Brantley Peterson, Grady, Remy and Huntley Gwaltney.
His memory will also be honored by his siblings, Bob Church (Mary) Johnny Hodge (Carol), Rick
Hodge, Vicki Hodge Lohn (Matthew) Sandra Garrison and Theresa Hodge Blevins. Along with
numerous amounts of nieces, nephews, and community friends.
David reunites in eternal rest with his beloved mother, Janie Hodge, his father Ward Hodge, and
departed brother Bill Church, sister Margie Church Simpson.
Ardent lover of the coast, David found peace going to the beach, reading a good book, building
models of ships, planes and tanks. He cherished every moment he could spend with his
Grandsons and Great Grand-Children.
