Dean Poland 36, passed away on Saturday September 8, 2018. He was born in Jacksonville on July 21, 1982. He spent most of his life as a resident of Jacksonville and was Catholic by faith. He was a decorated veteran for his courageous service in the United States Airforce. He fought over a decade long battle with PTSD. He was an avid lover of fishing, traveling and all things sports. Survivors include his mother, Jennifer and Step Father Darrell Johnson, his beautiful daughters Natalia Poland, Nyomi Poland, and Mariah Poland; sister, Jennifer Hassan (Abraham); also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. He had an infectious smile and blue eyes that lit up the room. He was a loving son, father, brother, friend and will be dearly missed by all. Memorial services will be held on Monday September 24, at 6:30 pm in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, with Rev Ray Turner officiating. The family will receive friends starting at 6pm on Monday evening at the funeral home.
