Edith Pope Drury

Drury                                     Edith Pope Drury, 95, passed away at her home on Thursday October 6, 2022. She was born in Samson, Alabama in 1927 to the late Henry and Bertye (Bowden) Churchwell and has lived in Jacksonville since 1963. She is preceded in death by her first husband William Howard Pope, daughter, Susan Charlene Pope, granddaughter, Tina Pope and several brothers and sisters. Edith was Baptist by faith and a longtime member of Pecan Park Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 21 years, Rev. Tom Drury; son, Tony Pope; sister, Dorothy “Kate” Wann; grandchild, Nina Pope; great grandchildren, Robby, Robin, Riley, and Ryan, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 11, 2022 in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, with Rev. John Kasper officiating. Interment will following in Chapel Hills Cemetery, Jacksonville. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the funeral home starting at 10am.
