Edward Johnson Obituary

Edward (Eddie) L. Johnson 72, passed away peacefully in the arms of his
wife Elizabeth in their home on March 5, 2024, after a courageous battle
with cancer. Eddie was born in Jacksonville, FL, on March 3, 1952, to the late
Johnnie and Margaret Johnson.

Eddie was happily married to Elizabeth for 37 years and is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; five children, Jason Johnson, Amy Gill (Roy), Chad
Ziemecki, Tiffany Miller (Jim) and Victoria Dickerson (Chris); Eleven grandchildren, Kristen, Glenn, Jaryn, Cale, Lathan, Emilia, Weston,
Damein, Juztis, Leland, and Ashlyn; Five great-grandchildren, TJ, Zoeylynn, Khloe, Tavin, and Jace; Three brothers and one sister and a host of other friends and relatives.

Eddie is preceded in death by 5 brothers and his beloved granddaughter, Cassi Johnson.

Besides spending time with his family and friends Eddie’s passion was
hunting and fishing. His favorite spot was always in the woods
camping at his hunting property and hanging out with his friends telling
stories around the fire. When at home Eddie would always be in his garage
working on something or tinkering in the yard. If not enjoying the outdoors
or found at home Eddie loved riding his Harley. Eddie was the best
husband, father, papa, and mechanic anyone could ask for. Eddie enjoyed
many years of retirement after traveling as a superintendent at power
plants for boiler makers and iron workers.
