Moody Edward John Moody, 63, passed away on Friday June 4, 2021. He was born in Monroe, Louisiana in 1957 to the late Eston and Evelyn (Parris) Moody and has lived most of his life in Jacksonville. He was a graduate of Jacksonville Technical High School class of 1975. He loved attending church and was a member of Duval Station Baptist. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather and will be dearly missed. Edward loved fishing, motorcycles, and football, especially the Jacksonville Jaguars. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Mary Jean Moody; children, Mindy Moody McDaniel (Jeremy), Joseph Moody (Joyce Ann), and Jeffrey Moody (Kat); brothers, Eston Moody, Jr., (Lee), Richard Moody (Linda), Lenard Moody (Terri), and David Moody; sisters, Rosemary Walker (Gary), Sue Tubman, Frances Ponder (Eddie), and Leona Grams (Mike); sister in law, Barbara Buckner (Ralph), brother in law, Billy O’Brien (Charlotte); grandchildren, Isaac, Madison, Sarah, Makenzie, Jacob, Kayden, Micah, and Caleb, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 10, 2021 at 1pm in the Duval Station Baptist Church, with Pastor Jimmy Flanagan officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Jacksonville. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the church starting at 12pm.
