Edward John Roehrig

Edward John Roehrig 53, passed away on October 28, 2021 at UF Health North, Jacksonville. He is preceded in death by his father Edward B. Roehrig, and brother, Dennis Roehrig. Ed was born in Indianola, MS and grew up in Caldwell, OH. He was very passionate about football. He started playing football at the age of 7 and continued through high school, for the Caldwell Redskins. He always followed the Ohio State football games every weekend. And he followed the Pittsburgh Steelers when they played. After moving to Florida, he enjoyed going back home every year to hunt deer with his buddies in Ohio. Ed also enjoyed fishing with his friends in Jacksonville, FL. Those he leaves behind are his mother, Carrie Horn (Bill), his son Edward (EJ) and his mother Penelope Lantz (Larry). Also his sisters, Tracy Postlewaite (Rodney), Lilly Sidwell, Mary Young (Skip), and brother Nelson Roehrig, sister-in-law Terri Roehrig. Stepbrothers William Horn (Jenny), Cecil Horn (Hazel), Ed Horn, Lowell Horn (Tracy); Stepsister Ella Kincaid (Jim); and special friends/family John Anderson, and Brenda Morosco (Howard). A celebration of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, at the Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32218.
