Elnora Marie Bartley

Bartley Elnora Marie Bartley, 83, passed away on Monday April 4, 2022. She was born in Elkhorn City, Kentucky in 1938 to Vernon and Hazel (Stapleton) Swiney. After graduating from Elkhorn High School, she moved to Chicago. She married Bent Justice, and they lived in Ohio until his death. She moved from Elkhorn City to Jacksonville in 1992 when she married Charles (Morrell) Bartley. In Jacksonville, she was a member of Christ’s Church on Starratt Road. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Bartley and Bent Justice; her parents, Hazel and Vernon Swiney; and her sister Lois McPeek. Survivors include her step children Brenda Matthews (Jack), Patricia Canady (Andy), and Janeene Bartley (Stella Manning); sister, Betty Hunt; grandchildren, Leslie Mahon (Mike), Jason Canady (Melissa), Kyle Matthews, (Michelle); Great grandchildren, Jessica, Cody, Ashlynn, Taylor, Riley, Kaylee, Madison, Jason, Brandon, and Kennedy, and a host of other relatives and friends including nieces and nephews Greg Hunt, Jackie Knox, Cindy Gillespie, and Thersea Mueller The family will receive friends on Thursday evening April 7, 2022 from 6pm until 8pm at Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, FL. Funeral services will be held at a later date in Pikeville, Kentucky.
