Elsie Mae Cannon

Elsie Mae Cannon passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023. She was born in 1928 in Clay County Florida to the late Colin and Lealer Mae (Mosley) Johns and has lived in Maxville all her life. She is preceded in death by her husband Earl Cannon, Sr., son, Earl Cannon, Jr., sisters, Gladys Lanthripp, and Ida Lee Griffis , brothers, Virgil and Hershel Johns. Mrs. Cannon was a member of the First Baptist Church of Maxville, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend and will be dearly missed by all. Survivors include her sons, Ronald E. Cannon and wife Darlene, Terry L. Cannon, and wife Kim; daughter, Cathy Tucker, and husband Ricky; 11 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 11 am in the First Baptist Church of Maxville, with Rev. Richard Fish, officiating. Interment will follow in Long Branch Cemetery Maxville. The family will receive friends on Saturday morning at the church starting at 10 am.
