Ernestine leggett Craig

Ernestine Leggett Craig, 87, went home to be with Lord Friday June 10th, 2022 with her family

by her side.

Ernestine was born October 6th, 1934, the youngest of 7 children, to Franklin D. and Grace

Williams Sr. of Jacksonville, Florida. Ernestine loved life itself. She loved music, especially

playing the tambourine at church, travel, food, and meeting new people. Additionally, Ernestine

enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, sharing the gospel, reading God’s word, and

fellowshipping with others. Ernestine’s unshakeable faith, love, and devotion to her Lord and

Savior Jesus Christ are awe-inspiring and serve as an example to all. Her strength of character

and Christian values are what Ernestine helped instill in her family, which they cannot give

enough thanks for.

Ernestine was a devoted Christian, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister,

Aunt, and Friend. Predeceased are Ernestine’s husbands Calvin Meridith Leggett Jr. (1952-

1981), and Thomas Craig as well as her daughter Rebecca Dean Leggett. Ernestine leaves

behind Sons’ David (Paula) Leggett, James (Kimberly) Leggett as well as countless

Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, in-laws, Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.

Ernestine’s viewing will be held Tuesday June 14 th, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, followed by the

funeral service on Wednesday June 15 th , 2022 at 11:00 am. Both the viewing and funeral service

Will be held at Cedar Bay Funeral Home 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218.
