Garrett Allen Davidson

Garrett Allen Davidson, age 31, passed away on Monday, March 27th, 2023, in Yulee, Florida. He was born April 10th, 1991, in Jacksonville, Florida to Herbert Gary Davidson and Melissa Kay (Allen) Davidson. Garrett was loved by everyone he met. He was a very caring and loving person with a heart of gold who could light up a room with his infectious smile. He loved to fish, play guitar, and dance. Garrett grew up in church with his Momma D and Aunt Deana. His love for music grew from this and he held these special times close to his heart. He loved teaching his talent of playing guitar to his nieces, Amia, Arianna, and Avery. He could not wait to pass it down to his son, Elijah. But most of all he loved his family.

Growing up and trying to freestyle rap with his sister Danielle is just one of the great memories of her brother she will hold near and dear to her heart. We often joked that he was pretty good for a white boy. His laughter was contagious.  Garrett’s childhood friends Kyle, Justin, and Zach helped make memories that will last a lifetime.

Garrett loved Kelsey and her two children, Korbin and Laylay. They welcomed their son, Elijah in 2021 who will carry on the Davidson namesake.

Garrett was preceded in death by his father, Gary Davidson; paternal grandmother, “Momma D” and his maternal grandmother, “Nan”. He is survived by his son, Elijah; his loving mother, Melissa Allen Davidson; sister, Danielle Liverman; his significant other, Kelsey Gomes, and step children Leilani and Korbin; nieces, Amia, Arianna, and Avery; aunt, Amy Allen (Joey) Shirley; cousin, Bri Patterson; aunt, Deana Davidson; uncle’s, Earl (Sue) Allen, Bobby (Krystal) Allen, and Harold Allen; cousin’s, Dewayne (Glinda) Allen, Michael Bates, Joy, and Crystal Adams. And a host of other friends and relatives.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 3rd, 2023 at 11 am at Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin rd. in Jacksonville, Florida. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will accept friends at 10 am.
